IH Cordoba, known locally as “Academia Britanica”, was the first International House school in the world, it was founded by John and Brita Haycraft in 1953. This year, we celebrate 70 years teaching English in Spain.

Cordoba is a beautiful city in the South of Spain, it is known as the historical melting pot of Jewish, Christian and Muslim cultures, for its festivals, flamenco music and great food. Cordoba is easily accessible from Seville, Malaga and Madrid by bus or train.

Cordoba is a small enough city to get around on foot or bike. Compared to many European cities, even Spanish ones, Cordoba is an economical city.

We have been on an incredible journey in the last 70 years, we even opened installations during and since the pandemic and maintaining our focus on quality teaching. We look forward to integrating new, enthusiastic teachers into our team.
